A little trip to Somerset to see my mother. While there, I went to Watchet to see the Steam Train, and the Marina. The little village is called Watchet, Somerset.
My photography group decided on a little excursion to the Hollycombe Steam Museum today. It was a glorious sunny day, and ideal for some HDR. After giving the group some instruction on what HDR is, and how it can be used, we went off in separate directions to capture some images. Well, here’s my set. Hollycombe is sort of a fun fair that is run completely on steam engines.
Today we went to a little (and I mean little) village called Castle Combe. Here is appears that time has stood still for the last 500 years. In 1962 this village was voted ‘the prettiest villiage in England’. I can see why. It is embedded within the Cotswolds, and lies close to Bath. It is a lovely idyllic village with a river running through it (Bybrook). It wasn’t a nice sunny day, instead overcast, and it tried to rain on us a couple of times, so most of the skys will look a bit grey.
