Thought as it looks as though the weather is going to be bad tomorrow (the weather people are threatening 70 mile an hour winds hitting the UK tomorrow), we decided to try to capture some of the Autumn (Fall) colours that are starting to show. It is still pretty early for the UK, unlike the USA. But here’s what we saw at Ruislip Lido today.
I took a few Infrared photos too, just for fun. Infrared make it look more like winter.
Continuation of the Wold Conservation Trust. There were other events going on at the Open Day today, but I really wanted to get the Birds of Prey. Low and behold, there were some. So here’s that set.
A trip out today. We headed just passed Reading where there is a UK Wolf Conservation Trust. They have several different types of wolves. They are in enclosures, and they have places in the fence that are cut out for photographers to put lenses through. Excellent idea. There was also a overlook place that was even better for photographs.
This venue isn’t normally open to the public, except for two or so days a year. This was one of those days. To find out more information about the trust, I suggest you head to this website (http://ukwct.org.uk), there is much more information here than I could give you.
It was a lovely sunny day in October, and the wolves were a bit active today, which was good, as we got pictures of them moving, rather than just lying around in the sun.
